Can you describe your current role and responsibilities?
I’m a member of the leadership team heavily involved in our growth strategy and provide management information to fellow members of the leadership team.
In addition, I am responsible for the paraplanning relationships and work closely with Head of Sales to provide valuable support for his portfolio of clients.
As a business, we are passionate about networking and building relationships with professional connections such as solicitors and accountants. This is another area I am developing to demonstrate how we can add value and provide excellent advice for their clients.
What has been your journey so far?
Following the completion of BA Sociology and Criminology degree at The University of York, I joined a regional Financial Adviser firm for a number of years where I completed the appropriate Financial Adviser and Mortgage Adviser qualifications.
I have been at Digby Associates for 4 years working in a variety of roles across the business and whilst I have the appropriate qualifications to be a Financial Adviser, I’ve taken a different route to be more involved with strategy and management.
What do you enjoy most about working in your field?
One of the highlights of my working day is meeting and building relationships with clients and formal introducers.
I am involved in numerous projects within my role so no one day is the same and I enjoy the variety.
What’s a fun fact about you or an interesting hobby you enjoy?
I have previously worked in the fitness industry and there is a great deal of similarity to financial planning in understanding someone’s aspirations and requirements and having a positive influence on their journey.
