Can you describe your current role and responsibilities?
I am a Financial Adviser and deal with portfolio of existing clients providing advice on Pension, Retirement planning, investments and Inheritance Tax.
I like to get to know my clients, so I am able to offer them support in any area they need it and link this to their investments and pensions. I base myself in the Bristol office and like to support my colleagues having had lots of experience in the financial services.
What has been your journey so far?
I am from Bristol and went to school here. I left at age 16 and joined Natwest Insurance Services with stints at AXA Sun Life, Chase De Vere and St. James Place (and some other local wealth advice firms) and have spent my career mostly in technical and compliance roles with now over 30 years’ worth of experience to offer. I joined Digby Associates in 2018 initially as a Technical Paraplanner for two of the advisers. I was offered the opportunity to become an adviser and have now been working in this role for over 5 years. I love to help people and thoroughly enjoy working for Digby Associates.
What do you enjoy most about working in your field?
I enjoy knowing that I have played a part in someone being able to retire and live comfortably or put a plan in place that allows them to pass a large inheritance onto their family. I like meeting people and supporting them throughout their life and where relevant their children and family.
What’s a fun fact about you or an interesting hobby you enjoy?
I am a qualified FA football coach and spent 7 years training and running my son’s football team. I enjoy watching sport and aim to restart playing golf now my children are adults!
I am a big fan of Liverpool and Bristol Rovers. I have 2 grown children and would love to travel. I will have been married 25 years in 2025. My favourite destination is Disneyworld Florida which is where I got married in 2000.
