Alice Chainey

Adviser Support

Can you describe your current role and responsibilities?

As Adviser Support, I work closely with our advisers to help ensure the advice process runs smoothly for clients. My responsibilities include preparing meeting reports, gathering information from providers, arranging client review meetings, and supporting advisers with a wide range of administrative tasks. I enjoy being part of a process that helps deliver excellent service and positive outcomes for our clients.

What has been your journey so far?

Before attending the University of Bristol, where I graduated with a degree in Economics and Finance, I took a year out working and volunteering abroad. These experiences helped me develop in a variety of ways, building my confidence, communication skills and adaptability, while giving me a greater appreciation for different walks of life.

Following university, I joined Digby Associates as Adviser Support, where I am excited to begin my career in financial services and continue developing my knowledge of the industry.

What do you enjoy most about working in your field?

I enjoy the variety that each day brings and the opportunity to work with both clients and providers. No two days are the same, and I find it rewarding to support advisers as they help clients work towards their financial ambitions. I also enjoy continually learning and developing my knowledge within an industry that is always evolving.

What’s a fun fact about you or an interesting hobby you enjoy?

Outside of work, I am a keen hockey player and enjoy the teamwork, discipline and competitive nature of the sport. I also enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures. One of my most memorable experiences was spending time in Costa Rica and Mexico during my year out, where I volunteered at an animal sanctuary, taking part in turtle conservation projects, and supported local community initiatives.
