Can you describe your current role and responsibilities?
After some 25 years in the Financial Services Industry, I joined Digby Associates in 2024 as part of the team of Mortgage and Protection Advisors.
I support my clients throughout the whole mortgage process and ensure that their most valuable possessions – their family, their lifestyle and their home – are safeguarded, through made-to-measure protection solutions. My clients enjoy the benefits of me working within an award-winning organisation, and receive an all-round financial service, as I work with my Wealth colleagues to meet my clients’ pensions & investment needs
What has been your journey so far?
I began my career with Prudential Assurance in 1987, where I held many diverse roles including Complaints Liaison, Call Centre Manager, Household Insurance Underwriter and Claims Manager. I qualified as a financial advisor by 2003, and a year later, joined Positive Solutions (now Quilter) as an Independent Financial Adviser, advising on pensions, investments, protection and mortgages. Although I now specialise in mortgages and protection, this background enhances my knowledge of financial procedures and products.
What do you enjoy most about working in your field?
I am a people person! My life experience means I can genuinely relate to clients of all ages and stages in their lives. I believe my clients really do recognise how much I care about them and their families and businesses, which brings me great personal joy.
What’s a fun fact about you or an interesting hobby you enjoy?
I am devoted to my teenage twins and enjoy supporting their many and varied aspirations. I volunteer a Cub Scout “Akela”, which occupies any remaining spare time!
